Sorø Fag- og Efterskole is a boarding school for 100 students in the heart of Sorø. Take a 10th grade at our efterskole, or a vocational 10th or 11th school year at our fagskole – with subject lines you actually care about.

Gastronomy
Fry, braise, whisk, flambé and sauté in big, well-equipped kitchens. The produce comes from the school greenhouse.

A whole year of clothes, fashion and trends. Sewing techniques, form, colour, design and redesign – from idea to finished piece.
Graphic Design
The tools to build strong visual work. We develop ideas and concepts and make your visions graphic.
A modern school in the heart of Sorø
100 beds
For 42 weeks this beautiful old building is the frame around the students' lives. They meet each other daily in a safe, warm-hearted environment.
Rooms
Students share 2- or 3-person rooms with single beds; a few rooms take 4 in bunk beds. There is a shared lounge with TV, tea kitchen, washing machine and dryer.
Central location
Sorø is a cosy little market town. We are right in the middle of it, a short walk from the station, the woods and the lake – and not far from cinema, shops, library and cafés.

Questions parents actually ask
What is the difference between efterskole and fagskole?
At the efterskole you take a 10th grade with exams in Danish, English and maths, and you have your subject line 2 days a week. At the fagskole you take a vocational 10th or 11th school year without exam grades, and you have your subject line 3 days a week. You live and sleep at the school either way.
What does a school year cost?
Fagskole 27/28 costs DKK 82,740 for 42 weeks. Efterskole 27/28 costs between DKK 68,000 and 100,000 a year depending on household income two years prior. An enrolment fee of DKK 3,000 is added.
Which subject lines can you choose?
Five: Gastronomy, Game Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design and Technology. You keep the same subject line all year and are taught by specialists.
Can you start in the middle of the school year?

Where is the school?
Holbergsvej 7, 4180 Sorø – in the middle of Sorø, close to the station, the woods and the lake.
